How to Use Custom Words in Skribbl.io

Adding your own words takes less than a minute:

  1. Go to skribbl.io and click "Create Private Room".
  2. In the room settings on the left, scroll down to the "Custom Words" box.
  3. Generate your list above, click Copy to Clipboard, and paste it into the box. Words must be comma-separated — exactly the format this tool produces.
  4. Tick "Use custom words only" if you want your list to replace the default words entirely.
  5. Copy the invite link, send it to your friends, and start drawing.

Tips for a Great Custom Word List

  • Size it to your session. 30–60 words suits a typical 3-round game; longer sessions can use 100+ so words don't repeat.
  • Match difficulty to the group. Easy words keep kids and casual players happy; hard words like "praying mantis" or "tightrope walking" are where the hilarious disasters happen.
